Adrian Wells

Adrian Wells was born in England and migrated to Australia as a child in 1957. Educated in Melbourne, Adrian first worked in Mildura in agricultural, horticultural and irrigation industries. He has worked in research and extension; the media; community development; rural education; rural counselling and Local Government. His last job required him to work with councils, communities, Aboriginal groups and schools across the Murray-Darling Basin.

As part of his various jobs, Adrian has served on various Local, State and Commonwealth committees and natural resource management working parties. Since 1969, Adrian has been on three overseas study tours to Britain, Israel and Morocco. Since 1993, some of his environmental education initiatives have won local and state awards.

Adrian is married, has three daughters and lives in northeast Victoria. He has served on various school councils for nearly 30 years. He has travelled widely overseas and has written two books. As well as his family and grandchildren, Adrian enjoys gardening, travelling, writing, walking, cycling and movies.

Adrian retired in 2015 but has continued with some part-time work in natural resource management.
